The Age of Dolls, was written by Evelyn, Elizabeth, & Dorothy Coleman and published by D.S. Coleman in 1965. It is the softcover edition, has 138 pages, and is out of print. It is in almost new condition but the cover has some aging and fading. It is still encased in it's original cellophane wrapper. It is still a good reference guide. AISN: B0007E51XK.

It is the aim of the sourcebook, "The Age of Dolls", to assist the searcher in the dating of the many unmarked antique dolls. Through the years the types and styles of commercial dolls for play have changed. These changes are graphically portrayed in contemporary catalogs, advertisements, etc. This source book covers the entire 19th century and illustrates numerous examples of dolls for sale at various times from 1800 to 1900. Not only can the age of dolls be determined more accurately from these primary sources than has heretofore been possible, but also the importance of dolls and their history can be better understood.
