Colonial Barbie®, #12578, was manufactured by Mattel and first offered in 1994. She is one of three dolls in a limited edition from the American Stories Collection. It is no longer available through Mattel.

She comes dressed in her Colonial style red, white, and blue dress with white hat accented with a red bow. Inside the box is a little readable book "The Messenger Quilt" and in her hand a sampler that she has made.

She comes never removed from her original box which is in excellent condition.
