Nancy Ann Storybook dolls were one of the main line and most popular which were named after nursery rhymes and jingles. The dolls were marketed to little girls, but, it is obvious today that they had appeal to the mothers as well! The plastic Storybook dolls were first produced in the 50's. This doll was purchased from the original owner. Her mother never took it out of the original box and displayed it in it's original box in a glass cabinet.

August, #169, is 5 1/2" tall, is strung, and made of hard plastic. She has blue sleep eyes that work perfectly, painted rosebud mouth, and brunette hair that is still in the original factory set. She has black painted slippers on her feet.

She comes dressed in her original yellow taffeta gown topped with a tulle overskirt with white lace trim. The sleeves of the gown are trimmed in matching lace. In her hair she wears a yellow satin ribbon tied on the side in a large bow. The clothing is crispy mint exactly as it came from the factory. She has her original gold wrist tag on her arm.

She comes in her original box which is in fabulous condition with no rips or loss of graphics and comes with the original cardboard brace. The lid of the box has a clear window which is clear and has no damage. The very edges surrounding the clear window has a few minute tears.
